Get ready for open water swimming!

Ocean swim training will begin May 8th and go through late September on Thursday nights 6pm. Meet at 24th Street at the Virginia Beach oceanfront (public parking at 24th St & Pacific Ave.) and you have the option to swim to 17th St (pier) and back. Wetsuits encouraged. Open to the public and other clubs. Coastal Racing announces official partnership with the Virginia Beach Lifesaving Association (VBLA) for this summer’s Ocean Swim Series July 13, 27 & August 16 – (1K – 1K/3K – 1K/5K). Coastal Racing's suggestion of adding the additional 1K entry option at every race was instantly approved by VBLA, allowing more athletes of all skill levels to participate in all three events. “We are happy to promote Coastal Racing and look forward to Coastal Racing promoting the series, but more importantly, helping us spread the word on beach safety,” Tom Gill of VBLA said. Coastal Racers get $5 off race entries. “Thanks for your support and we look forward to working with you all on the swim clinics / practices during the summer,” Gill said.
